Top Ten Books I'd Play Hooky With

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Every Tuesday, book bloggers craft a list of ten books in response to a specified theme. This week's theme is Spring Fever, specifically the Top Ten Books I'd Play Hooky With. Well, when I think Spring Fever, I think romance, flings, and lots of chick lit. I for one am looking forward to a light, whimsical spring, full of great new books.

1. The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting
More Violet and Jay and creepy echoes? Yes, please!

2. Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore
Do I really need to explain this one?

3. This Is So Not Happening by Kieran Scott
This is a guilty pleasure series for me. I love the series' torrid romances and heaps of drama. I'm looking forward to escaping for a bit with this third (and final?) book.

4. Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
The cover of this book is what initially caught my attention. Then, at a blogger tea, Anna from Literary Exploration mentioned how much she enjoyed the novel. Now, I really want to get my hands on it and see what all the fuss is about.

5. Unbreak My Heart by Melissa Walker
Talk about escaping: a book set on a sailboat with a dose of romance. It sounds right up my alley.

6. Flirting in Italian by Lauren Henderson
Italy? Hot boys? Ancient castles? Family mysteries? Dancing under the stars? I need this book ASAP.

7. Belles by Jen Calonita
Calonita's Secrets of my Hollywood Life series was one of the my favorites when I first started reading YA. I'm hoping this new series of hers will be equally enchanting.

8. The List by Siobhan Vivian
I have heard nothing but good things about this book, and I for one think it looks wonderful. This is one title I'm really looking forward to this spring.

9. The Summer Life Began by Shannon Greenland
Greenland is another author whose first series I loved as a younger reader. The Specialists series was highly enjoyable, and though this book is vastly different conceptually, I am still excited to read another one of her books.

10. Take a Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg
Eulberg's past novel have all been fun and entertaining. I'm really looking forward to another novel.

What spring releases would you like to play hooky with?

  1. SO much goodness on your list!!

Firstly, I'm reading The Last Echo as we speak and it is NOT disappointing but I won't lie..I want a little more Jay!! But the creepy factor..woah baby. lol

The List!! I'm really excited about this one! Haven't heard of The Summer Life Began but that cover makes me crave summer and not being an adult who has to work on gorgeous days. lol And Flirting In Italian is one I'm definitely dying to read!!

Feel free to stop by my list if you feel like it!

  2. Your list is awesome! So many books that I would love to read right now! I'm really looking forward to The List, Unbreak My Heart, Flirting in Italian and more of The Body Finder series.
